Just had a wonderful weeks holiday at Kirksteads Barn (July 2018) and of course the sunny weather helped.
The Barn was a great find and is ideally situated to explore the three peaks and other areas in the dales.
The views from the back garden up to Ingleborough and the surrounding peaks are magnificent. In fact they were so good that although we planned to eat out most of the time we often found ourselves cooking something ourselves and sitting in the garden enjoying the views. The lawned back garden is a very safe and secure space if you have children.
The Barn itself is well equiped with a beautiful open space kitchen/dinner/living room adjoining the back garden.
The owner Pat was very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that are already planning to go back next year.

My Mum and I stayed at Kirksteads for a week in July. It was perfect. Peaceful location with some stunning scenery and sunsets. Very comfortable, well equipped, well cared for and spotlessly clean. Everywhere we visited was lovely but our favourite was the Settle to Carlisle rail journey --- the sun shone all day! Would highly recommend this property and hope to return one day.

We really enjoyed out stay with you. The views and the accommodation were excellent. Next time we will bring better weather with us and I would rather have missed the Election!!

This was our second visit to Kirksteads Barn. It is in such a beautiful location, peaceful with magnificent views. It has everything you need for a perfect holiday, it is spotlessly clean and comfortable with all your home comforts. We enjoyed watching the sheep and lambs from the window. The weather was perfect all week for walking and exploring the local area. Would definitely recommend the Mason's Arms at the end of the road.

Being past caravan owners this was our first time renting a holiday cottage and it was certainly a good choice Everything you would need is provided and homely comforts The bathroom is superb and power shower fantastic Garden was really appreciated by our young grandson as he could play safely as it was all enclosed Lovely views and close to village but central for visiting elsewhere We will certainly be doing this type of holiday again If anything was needed you only had to ask Pat and she did her best to help

We had a really lovely stay at Kirkstead Barn. It is quiet, modern, warm, comfy and has fantastic views across the Yorkshire Dales. It is perfectly located as well, close to the pretty village of Ingleton, the Three Peaks, Settle-Carlisle railway, and is also close to the Lake District - we went to Bowness-on-Windermere for a day-trip. Myself, my husband and our 2 boys aged 5 and 4 had a great 5 days. Thank you Pat and we'd love to come back to stay soon. Feb 2017.

Stayed Late October 2016. This was a fantastic place with fantastic views over the Yorkshire Dales. Luxury accommodation and even had a power shower. Also included was entertainment for the little one (Dvd's and card games). Managed to complete the three peaks in 3 days with a 5 year old who didn't complain once thanks to having this place to retreat to each night. The Mason's arms catered well with our family reunion too, 11 of us for Sunday Dinner and impeccable service. Worth recommending the Bakers in the village too for the daily fresh provisions we had. Will be back again as this was an ideal base for exploring more of the Yorkshire Dales with everything on your door stop that you may need.
